Obituary for Patsy A. Smith (Yarborough)


Patsy Yarbrough Smith, age 66, of Moulton, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Elliott’s Brown Service Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Jonathan Henderson and Brother Steve Kelso will officiate. Interment will follow in Moulton Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Patsy was born Dec. 7, 1950, in Lawrence County to John H. Yarbrough and Chloe Letson Yarbrough. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was retired from the LCHS Cafeteria where she served as the manager and she was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Cecil, Robert, Billy, and Johnny Yarbrough; and by a sister, Rachel Cowan.
Survivors include, two daughters, Karen Hood, (Bryan) and Kim Johnson (Kurt); four grandchildren, Tanner and Taylor Hood, Brodie and Blaine Johnson; one brother, Larry Yarbrough (Barbara); two sisters, Sue Cowan and twin sister, Peggy Aldridge.
Pallbearers will be, Mark Yarbrough, Scott Henderson, Connor McIntyre, Bobby McIntyre, Jerry Yarbrough, Danny Cowan, and David Yarbrough.
