Obituary for Mavis Jane Anderson (Hollis)

Mavis Jane Hollis Anderson of Moulton, Alabama passed away on November 11, 2017 at her residence in Hartselle, Alabama. Services will be held at Elliott Brown Funeral Home in Moulton, Alabama Tuesday, November 14, 2017, Brother Ronald Manley will be officiating the service. Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 pm, with service at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Moulton Memory Gardens.
Jane was born June 6, 1929 to the late Emmett and Nellie Hollis. She attended school in Lawrence County. She was married to Homer C. Anderson on December 29, 1945.
Jane is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 51 years, Homer C. Anderson; her parents Emmett and Nellie Hollis and late brother Wylie Hollis.
She is survived by her children; Diane Hargett (Cotton), Donald Anderson (Denise), Rickey Anderson (Linda) and Tina Moats (Sam); brothers, Kenneth Hollis and Edward Hollis (Betty) and sister; Shirley Young (Jerry).
Jane had four children, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
The family would like to thank Amanda Dunn and Beth Hawkins of Hospice of the Valley for their love and kindness. They would also like to thank Dr. Boyle and Dr. Charles Coffey for their unending support. Special thanks to her grandaughter, Whitney Shelton for the special love and care.
